Haji Lane

Hi Nomad, how has it been going? We know it’s been while since our last post. Since this blog started, it’s thankfully been up for a couple of months now and we got thinking that it was fine time to take the plunge and take it to the next level by travelling out of the Metro.

We recently flew to Singapore for a little breather given that we’ve finally hit the BER-months. So, expect us to be talking about our trip and we have a number of upcoming blogs about it, watch out for those.

Our first destination in Singapore brought us to Haji Lane — located in Kampong Glam, one of the more famous neighbourhoods in the country known for it’s independent fashion shops and Middle Eastern cafes. It’s also a popular destination for bloggers and tourists as it’s highly decorated with a multitude of graffiti from it’s local artists. Definitely a great location to spike up your Instagram or social media feeds we can guarantee.

Being in such a culturally diverse country and location, it’s hard not to be influenced by the individuality and fashion all around. We were inspired and thought of blogging about it. Now, in order not to get overwhelmed by the graphic art located in Haji Lane,  we decided to just put on a simple outfit to complement the art all around.

When choosing an outfit for travel, you have to consider the weather as well. It tends to be really hot in Singapore at times so a simple button down paired with shorts was the simplest thing to put together. Take note not to forget sun protection by bringing a pair of shades or a hat for extra protection. In order to enjoy sightseeing, you would also want to wear comfortable shoes for all the walking. A small sling bag to keep your essentials like your mobile phone, money and passport should come in handy too. Check out how we pulled our outfit together
