Orchard Road

Hi Nomad, we’re on our fourth  blog instalment of our Singapore series this week. We hope you’ve been enjoying what we’ve been sharing with you with our trips to some of the iconic tourist spots of the country. For this post, we headed out to Orchard Road, which is a boulevard with a mix of the old and new – a retail haven for avid shoppers.

Read about the our trip to Universal Studios Singapore here.

There are a lot of establishments you can come across, some of them are more popular like Ion Orchard, The Paragon, Lucky Plaza, to name a few. All of these  are packed with different retail brands from fashion to almost anything you can think of. There is a wide range of stores especially if you’re into fashion to suit your style and hopefully not burn a hole in your wallet.

Orchard Road is known for it’s cultural mix from old infrastructures to modern art installations along the boulevard. We figured that a denim on denim outfit would be a good outfit to try out our own version of old and new. By matching distressed jeans with a darker shade button down, you can’t go wrong. Given that the weather is hot, you need to ensure the flexibility of your outfit. Take note to keep your accessories to a minumum as we wouldn’t want to overwhelm the look. How long do you think you would you last in this shopping mecca, Nomad?
