Hi Nomads, it’s official. Our favourite season is back! Time to welcome the warmth and fun this summer is definitely going to bring. We’ve been itching for months to head out to the beach and this is the best time to do so. And, we just did! Get ready to turn heads as we share how we rocked floral with our first summer getaway with you. It’s going to be a sure bet that we’ll have a couple more summer-related posts coming your way. We know you’re excited to head out to the beach yourself, Nomad. So without further ado, get your sunblock ready and read on —
For this weekender, we headed out to a popular beach resort in Batangas, namely, Pico de Loro Beach and Country Club. Some folks say it’s a tropical paradise that’s just a few hours drive from the metro. And, we can agree. If you’re planning for a beach trip with your family or friends, you’ll be sure to have a great time there. Pico de Loro, offers it’s guests a venue to relax and have fun. They have a wide range of awesome beach activites you can try, such as their jet ski, banana boat, water taxi, or even take a tour of the cove. If you’re more adventurous, they also offer services for kayaking, paddle boarding, wind surfing, and snorkelling. For sand time, you can play frisbee or hang out near their huge pool. The resort also offers other amenities such as a bowling alley, billiards hall, KTV rooms, and a place to play basketball, volleyball, football and badminton, for those who would rather do recreational sports. There is just so much to do at Pico de Loro, you might just run out of time trying to do them all.
With so much to do, going out should be a breeze. For our outfit, we opted for a floral button down matched with chino shorts. Whenever we talk about dressing up for summer, floral pieces are always on our list. Now, we know some of you Nomads think that wearing floral might be intimidating, usually it’s because it would be a complete nightmare if you ended up looking like you were part of the resort’s staff with their usual floral button down, shorts, and white sneakers. (Can you imagine that? Haha) But just to share a little secret with you, it’s really on the choice of your footwear that makes all the difference. As you can see, for this look, we chose a pair of espadrilles to make the whole outfit more put together. If you don’t have a pair in your collection, you may also opt for mandals. Then throw on a straw hat and a pair of sunnies to help protect you from the harsh sun rays. But, really, we think it just makes your summer look more complete.
What do you think about our outfit, Nomad? How would you wear your favorite floral pieces this summer?
